Dr Noel Brehony, CMG, Chair

Noel Brehony joined Menas Associates after a long career with the UK Foreign Office, and as a director of the Middle East Affairs for Rolls Royce. Former president of the British Society of Middle East Studies, chair of the Council for British Research in the Levant, advisory board member at the London Middle East Institute (SOAS), and the council of the British Egyptian Society, his specialist areas are Yemen and Egypt.

Phillip Griffin, Non-executive Director

A consultant with years of experience in banking and advising on the Middle East, Phillip Griffin focuses on emerging markets, trade and corporate finance. He earned the Citibank GAMS award in 1992.

Dr Charles Gurdon, Managing Director

Charles Gurdon joined Menas Associates as a researcher in 1980, and later oversaw the restructuring of the company, its stable of publications and consulting portfolio. He has a PhD from SOAS, where he specialised in Africa and the Middle East.

Georges D Landau, Managing Director Menas do Brasil

Founding writer and editor of Brazil Focus, Georges Landau is based in São Paulo where he runs his own consultancy firm and manages Menas do Brasil. Educated in law and public administration in both Brazil and the Netherlands, he has taught international economic relations around the world.

Rodolfo Agustín Lira, Director Menas de Argentina

One of Argentina's leading commercial, government and academic lawyers, Rodolfo Lira has been an adviser, legal consultant and nominated judge-arbitrator for various ministries and trade organisations, including US government agency OPIC. He is fluent in Spanish, English, French, Portuguese and Italian.

Antonio José Recca, Managing Director Menas de Argentina

Antonio José Recca has 30 years experience working in the oil and petrochemicals industries, since starting out his career in a marketing role at Esso in 1975. He has postgraduate training in administration and marketing, and is a skilled auditor for ISO norms and assessment projects. He is fluent in Spanish, English, Italian and Portuguese.

Carlos María Regúnaga, Director Menas de Argentina

Educated in Argentina and the US, Carlos Regúnaga has been a legal adviser and director of several companies and banks. He is currently the director of the Washington-based CSIS think-tank in Buenos Aires, and president of Argentina's oldest existing cultural guild, Club del Progreso.

Richard Schofield, Senior Adviser Menas Borders

Based at King's College London, Richard Schofield is a world authority on boundary issues, with a particular focus on the Middle East. He has advised governments and international law firms involved in boundary disputes before arbitral proceedings, and the International Court of Justice.
